Otay Mesa Produce was founded in San Diego, California in 1996 by Charlie and Elva Cacho. They utilized four core principles during Otay’s formation: Integrity, Perseverance, Innovation, and Four Generations of Farm Management Experience. This core foundation was solidified in Otay’s establishment and has given us the ability and opportunities to be present throughout California(1996), Arizona(1997), and Texas(2011). Though miles away from each other, each location is envisioned and operates by Charlie and Elva’s core principles.

Working diligently alongside Charlie and Elva are their four children: Chuck, Ophelia, Jacob, and Victoria. Not only alongside, but advancing past Charlie and Elva’s expectations. With Elva now retired, her retirement has not slowed down Chuck, Ophelia, Jacob, and Victorias’ progression. They lead the charge in professionality and expertise throughout the company and look forward in continuing to do so.
Arroyo Azul Farms, incorporated in 2016, is currently being managed by 5th Generation Operations Manager, Remee Cacho.

In addition to our vision of customer service, we also ensure providing you satisfactory: tomato, onion, squash, and lemon. The storage and distribution needed by various products, alongside those listed here, are services we execute year round and customize to each customers' supply chain necessities. Whether freshly picked or value added packaged-produce is desired, we will consistently ensure satisfactory service, product, and results.
